Simple but incredibly delicious food. Drinks are also very well made and very friendly staff! Highlights were the perfectly cooked plantains and the tamales

Best Central American in Seattle HANDS DOWN! I've dined at La Cabana many times, every time is excellent! The staff are always exceptional. There is a reason this place is always packed. My insider tip is to go for breakfast, the breakfast items are great and usually the crowd is a bit lighter. Price can really vary here from quite cheap to very expensive depending on what you get. If you get tacos or any of the al a cart options you'll probably find yourself on a lower end of price where as the full meals are a bit higher in price but I think are worth it in quality and size. Each meal could easily feed two. My first time in, my friends and I wanted to try everything so we got appetizers and we each got a meal and we were all sooooo full and had tons of leftovers. My favorite thing is the carne asada, so much flavor and perfectly cooked. I love that the menu has such a diverse range of regional specialties you won't find anywhere else in Seattle. If you're new to this type of cuisine I beg you to go beyond your comfort zone and try something new. You will be rewarded!

This place is my new obsession. We enjoyed phenomenal Central American food in a lively, comfortable environment that made us feel just like family! - Bandeja centroamericana: meaty deliciousness enough for 2 people! But as an entree, it was unbalanced because everything was salty and rich. - Pollo frito (with dark meat): my current favorite restaurant dish ever!! Juicy tender chicken with a light creamy sauce perfectly balanced by mild starchy banana - Atole de elote: warm, creamy comfort in a cup, with soft little corn kernels that give a slight bite. There is a small parking lot out front and nice restrooms in the back. Come early because tables fill up! This is a great place to bring the whole family, but it's also perfectly acceptable to come alone and just order their delicious pupusas!

Excellent food as always! Everyone in our party raved about the food. Despite them being busy almost all the time, service is great too.

One of the best Latin American food in Seattle! The taste, style of cooking, ingredients are very close to my heart. Pupusas were amazing, and carne asada, it's incredibly juicy and cooked to perfection. Service was slow and sometimes the server seems lost, but ambiance is great, lots of seating, not noisy, and pleasant for an afternoon lunch. I will go back for the food if I'm in the area.

The food was great and there's a lot of variety. Many dishes from different Central American countries. Service was prompt. They expanded the restaurant into the old bar next door so it's a big space with a lot of seating. The back area is a bit more modern than front area.

This is by far the best South American restaurant I have found in all of Seattle! I found them on Yelp's 2023 list of best restaurants in America, and La Cabaña certainly deserves their spot! https://www.yelp.com/article/yelps-top-100-us-restaurants-2023 My group ordered the "carne asada (Honduras)" for $26.99, two El Casado (Costa Rica)" for $23.50 each, and a dish in a hot pot. The meat was flavored perfectly, the plantains had the perfect texture, and the refried beans were the first refried beans I've been impressed with since I left New Mexico! I would recommend this restaurant highly to anyone, but especially to foodies looking for quality food in Seattle from Central/South America.

I have been here twice and it is a new favorite! I have gotten the Desayuno Centroamericano (with Carne Asada) both times because it is just so good. The food is well seasoned and so flavorful. It is pretty small so can get crowded -- the first time I came we had a slight hiccup with people who got there after us being seated first (no reservations) but they were so apologetic and got us seated at the bar while we waited for the next table to open. I don't love their horchata, but everything else we've had has been excellent.

I used to always pass by this place not knowing that they were serving up some of the best Latin dishes in the area. There's so many dishes to try, but you can't go wrong with any them. I got the Bistec Encebollado and my friend got the Hilachas De Carne and both were SO good. They have a solid meat + rice combo. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but always gotten lucky finding a seat. Plus they have their own parking! So If you're looking to branch out and try some new cuisines, I would highly check this place out!!

Amazing food! Everything we ate was delicious and had so much flavor. The tortillas were fresh and handmade and my chicken was cooked perfectly--juicy and not dry at all. We had a party of 3 and came at around 6pm on a Saturday. The parking lot was full but we were able to find street parking nearby (it's free!). It was definitely busy and there isn't really a place to wait for a table inside but we only had for wait for around 10 minutes. There are a few bar seats in addition to table seats. They don't take reservations and there isn't a sign up paper once you get there. We just made eye contact with one of the waitresses and let her know that we'd be waiting outside. They're very busy (including preparing takeout orders) but everyone was very friendly! They were attentive with refilling our waters and my partner's beer. The food took a while to come out but we were there with a friend so it gave us time to catch up. I got the El Casado, my partner got the carne asada and a pupusa, and my friend got the molcajete. Everyone said their food was amazing. The prices seem a bit expensive at first but you get so much food and again, everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. They provide a spicy sauce (that's actually spicy!) and a mild sauce in squeeze bottles too. I will note that I had ordered some pastelitos that never came so my friend and I were getting pretty hungry while my husband was snacking on his pupusa before all of our entrees arrived. Because it's a small space, it gets pretty noisy. If you're sensitive to noise, it's definitely somewhere to bring noise-cancelling headphones or earbuds. Overall, a great experience and definitely somewhere I'd go for special occasions with a chill, home like atmosphere.
